Carthamus is native from the middle east and is mainly cultivated in China and India. It has good heat and light stability and is unaffected by pH.

Lutein

Lutein is obtained from marigold oleoresin, which is extracted from the petals of marigold flowers that grow almost everywhere in the world.
Its main characteristic is the stability to light, heat, and pH.

Curcumin

Turmeric is used as a food condiment and colour, as well as medicine. There are many different varieties, but only Curcuma longa L is used for colour. It tolerates heat and pH extremes.
